This workshop will feature both didactic lectures and a hands-on workshop component led by international faculty member, Dr. Tomaž Štupnik on key surgical techniques to be proficient in performing VATS procedures. Dr Stupnik was an early adopter of the VATS technique in lung resection and is the developer of the Stupnik Thoracic VATS simulator, which has been utilised in multiple countries across the world. He has played a significant role in the education of other clinicians on the VATS technique in Europe. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice and refine their instrument and device handling skills via the use of the Stupnik VATS Simulator and get valuable tips and tricks for performing VATS surgery.
