RACS Library resources feedback

by | Aug 9, 2018 | News | 0 comments

The RACS Library endeavours to provide an appropriate range of quality e-resources for Fellows, Trainees and IMGs. This includes generic resources relevant to all surgeons but also more specialised materials appropriate for the range of specialties or subspecialties within RACS.

The library would like to obtain feedback and suggestions for additional content appropriate for your specialty. You may like to consult with your colleagues before undertaking the brief online survey, to which there is a link below.

We are asking you to nominate up to three new electronic books or journals that you believe are important for the Library to investigate for possible acquisition. If you believe that the existing collection is already meeting needs please indicate this in the survey.

Suggested resources will be investigated to determine the feasibility of future purchasing for addition to the collection. Depending on costs, budgets or other issues it may not be possible to acquire all of the suggested resources. For example, annual subscription costs for some e-journal titles are very prohibitive. In addition, some publishers are not willing to licence certain e-books to libraries.

Thank you for your consideration of this request and I look forward to receiving responses by the deadline of 31st August 2018.
