Please see below letter from the 3SCTS 2021 Organising Committee:

Dear All,

In view of the recent events across Australia, and the growing Covid situation, the inaugural Tri- Society Cardiac & Thoracic Symposium (3SCTS) will be postponed to March 2022. It is the view of the 3SCTS Organising Committee that if the Symposium is held in November 2021, it will be very vulnerable to border closures, lockdowns, and a general lack of confidence from participants to travel to Cairns. The over-arching aim of this meeting is to hold it in person to increase collaboration and collegiality amongst the three societies. The Organising Committee are confident, with Australia’s accelerated vaccine roll-out in the second half of 2021, the Symposium will be held successfully in March 2022.

The Symposium Organiser will be in contact shortly with further information on the postponement.

Should you require any additional information in the meantime, please feel free to contact Symposium Organiser on +61 3 9249 1158 or via email 3scts@surgeons.org.

Regards,

On behalf of the 3SCTS 2021 Organising Committee

Jayme Bennetts, President, ANZSCTS

Martin Kim, Deputy Chair, CTVP SIG

Rob Baker, President, ANZCP
