What’s on offer?
Temporary role up to 2 years. Full-time is preferred, but part-time hours can be negotiated.
Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $522,648 p.a. comprising: base salary rates between $204,206 and $258,910 p.a. (f/t) (L18-L27) with an attraction and retention allowance of 50% p.a. salary, rural and regional allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance and 3.6 weeks leave p.a., 4 weeks p.a. recreational leave + 17.5% loading, and employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
Salary sacrificing options are also available.
Requirements
FRACS or equivalent. 5 years post fellowship experience as a Cardiac Surgeon. Mandatory requirement of Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Pre-employment screening required. 6-months probation. VPD risk role.
Highly desirable:
- Strong interest in research and teaching.
- A strong interest in Multidisciplinary Thoracis surgery.
- Preferable experience in dealing with rheumatic valvular heart disease.
