About the role
- Provides strategic and operational leadership for Cardiothoracic Services and is responsible for ensuring the provision of specialist Cardiothoracic services of the highest possible quality. This leadership would extend beyond The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) to the wider Metro North.
- Creates a culture that attracts, trains, retains and empowers high calibre medical and other clinical staff within the department/program.
- Functions as a senior leader within the Surgical Services and Critical Care Program providing high quality health care in the area of Cardiothoracic services to The Prince Charles Hospital. Expertise in Thoracic organ transplantation.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in planning and strategy and delivery of services, including service redesign, innovation and adoption of new technology.
